What is packaging gluing?

The gluing and folding of paperboard on folding machines is a key step in the production of paperboard packaging. The process ensures that the packaging is pre-formed, that the glue is applied in the right places and that it is folded into its final shape. Bonding of packaging materials – types

CARTONBOX TARNÓW, BOX BRZESKO

There is 1-, 3-, 4- and 6-point gluing:

3-point gluing:In 3-point gluing, three glue points are applied to the carton joint, forming a triangular structure. This is more robust than 1-point gluing and is used for heavier packaging.

4-point gluing: 4-point gluing involves applying four glue dots to the carton joint, forming a rectangular structure. It is even more robust than 3-point gluing and is used when the packaging needs to be particularly stress-resistant.

6-point gluing:This type of gluing is the most robust of all. It involves applying six glue points to the carton joint, forming a rectangular structure reinforced with additional points. It is used when the packaging has to withstand heavy loads or when it is exposed to intense external forces.

1-point gluing: This type of gluing involves applying a single point of adhesive to the carton joint. It is used for lightweight packaging or when high strength is not required.

Hot or cold gluing

Cold or hot gluing is used depending on the raw material and the type of surface finish of the packaging. The gluing process is carried out at the appropriate temperature to ensure effective bonding of the packaging components. Our folding machines are also adapted for the use of additional packaging components, such as tear strips or the application of 'everlasting' glue to seal the packaging. This makes it possible to create e-commerce type packaging, ideal for online shops.
